Alfredo has worked at numerous churches over the years as both a church singer (choir section leader) and a conductor. Since 2022, Alfredo has been the Baritone Section Leader for the prestigious Cathedral Choir at the Episcopal Cathedral of St John in Albuquerque, NM, working under Dr Maxine Thévenot. Along with providing leadership to the Baritone and Bass sections of the Cathedral Choir, Alfredo has also sung several solos for the Cathedral, including some of the Baritone solos in Ralph Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs, Benjamin Britten's Rejoice in the Lamb, and Franz Schubert's Mass No. 2 in G Major, D. 167.
Prior to working at the Cathedral of St John, Alfredo was the Director of Music Ministries at Rio Rancho United Methodist Church in Rio Rancho, NM, a section leader and assistant conductor at First Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque, NM, a section leader at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mission, KS, the Choir Director at McMurry United Methodist Church in Claycomo, MO, and a section leader at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. In addition, during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, Alfredo helped lead the singing of hymns and provided special music at Asbury United Methodist Church in Albuquerque, NM, singing alongside Tenor Kevin Chavez.
